Hiya, Eunji! Welcome back to planDisney.
If you have a dining reservation, you must have selected to add the
Disney Dining Plan to your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I can see you have great taste! On a recent solo trip, I tried the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. I enjoyed just how easy it was to use and keep track of my dining plan with the
My Disney Experience app.
One thing I learned on my trip is that your dining plan credits usually show up around 6 a.m. on the day you check into your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. You do not have to be checked into your room to access your credits. You can use your
MagicBand+,
Disney MagicMobile on your cell phone or a Key to the World card if you have one from a previous trip that is still linked to your
MyDisney account. Just let the Cast Member serving your meal know you will be using dining plan credits.
For quick-serve meals and many snack choices, you can also use
mobile food ordering. Using a dining plan for snacks is my favorite! The menu in the app tells you if an item qualifies as a snack, which I found to be so helpful. You then have the option to use your credits or to purchase with another form of payment.
While you can use your MagicBand+ to access dining plan credits before you check into your resort, you cannot charge purchases to your resort bill until your room is assigned. I like using
direct-to-room service to get notifications when my room is ready. If I am enjoying a theme park or shopping, it lets me know when I can fully immerse in Disney vacation mode and use my MagicBand+ for everything, including purchases.
With your trip creeping up in the spooky season, be sure to put your eyes on the
Disney Eats: Foodie Guide to Halloween Treats at Walt Disney World Resorts 2024. Speaking of snacks, there are many here that are worth
exorcising for.
Happy Haunting at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
