    Online check in I'm traveling from overseas and have paid for my accommodation and park tickets. I'm up to to the online check in page where I nominate a bank card. Can I use my magic band for purchases then pay at the resort with cash?

    Hi, Tamara!

    Welcome to Walt Disney World! If you plan to charge back to your room using your MagicBand, you will need to have a credit card on file. Upon arrival, stop by the front desk of your resort. Tell a Cast Member you would like to pay off your balance with cash, and ask how often you should stop by to pay down your balance to avoid your credit card getting charged. 

    Plan to stop by the lobby every evening or two, and have your cash ready. A friendly Cast Member will be happy to pull up your account and use the cash for to cover your room charges. 

    Having a MagicBand is so convenient! I love that with a quick "tap" of my band I can enter my resort hotel room, enter a theme park, and even charge back to my room. I just wish it worked when I got back home for use at the grocery store and to unlock my house!
