Is online check in available for the Disney Campground? And what are the perks to doing so? We will be checking in on May 2, and be in our RV for the trip.

    Bonnie:

We did online check-in for our trip in October, and I did so because I was told that campers who chose on-line check-in would drive through a designated lane upon arrival at Fort Wilderness. (If you've ever been to the fort and sat in line and had to idle and crank/uncrank your RV for 20 to 30 minutes, it can be trying with kids in tow!)

When we arrived, we did not find an on-line check-in lane, only two lanes were open. However, the lanes were not backed up as they can be during busy seasons.  I would assume that if there had been long lines, they would have created an online check-in lane. My gut tells me that early May is not necessarily busy, so you may not find an online check-in line either.

With that said, I have to say, that it was nice to pull up and not sit for a long time verifying everything. Our packet was ready to go with our campsite number and we spent less than 5 minutes at check-in.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
