Welcome to planDisney, Nancy. We're so glad you're here to share this question with us. Woohoo! Your visit to the Disneyland Resort is practically here. It won't be long until you will be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. with Sleeping Beauty Castle in the distance. Let's make sure you're all set for your visit.
I'm sorry to hear that someone is no longer able to join you for your magical day, but so glad that another family member will be able to join in on the fun. Getting this ticket over to them is easier than saying, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." The easiest way is to have them add the theme park ticket to the
Disneyland app on their phone.
To do this, they will tap on "☰" in the lower right to open the menu, followed by tapping the "Tickets and Passes" tile. Next, tap "+" in the upper right and then "Link Tickets & Passes." From here, you can share the ticket ID number (found below the barcode) that can be manually typed in or you can use the "camera" feature to scan the barcode. There's no need to worry about the name on the ticket as the Cast Member will take a photo of the person using the ticket which will serve as the ticket holder's identification throughout the duration of the visit.
The Disneyland app is a great tool that I always use during my visits. In the app, you'll find a map of the resort, attraction wait times and (best of all) the feature to
mobile order food and drink. You can even find showtimes for all the entertainment around the resort. If you haven't already, I highly recommend checking out the
"Magic Happens" Parade. I can't say enough about all of the performers, music and floats. You'll have the song in your head for the rest of the day and it's a wonderful thing.
Well, Nancy, I hope this helps you feel prepared for your magical visit. Here's to having the best Disney day at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Adventure is out there!
