Hi Holger! Welcome to planDisney! It's great to have you stop by!
One of my greatest joys of being selected as a
planDisney panelist is helping Guests from all across the world plan for their Disney vacation. With everything that goes into planning a visit, especially when you are traveling overseas, having some assistance along the way is always a great help.
When
purchasing park tickets from your home in Germany, the only option on the Walt Disney World website is to buy a minimum of a 2-day ticket. Unfortunately, you'll need to wait until you arrive in the United States to purchase a single-day ticket. This can be done as soon as you land and can access the US-based website. When you go to purchase, you'll need to select EPCOT as the park you wish to visit since pricing will vary depending on the park you choose.
While I know this may be inconvenient, the process should be fairly simple. Once you have your ticket secured, you can decide if you want to
purchase a Lightning Lane Multi-Pass or Lightning Lane Single Pass. The multi-pass will allow you to choose return times for up to three attractions before you arrive to utilize the Lightning Lane. This will let you bypass the stand-by queue and not have to wait in line for these rides. The single pass is for a select attraction at each park (in this case, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind) and you can select a time throughout the day to ride. You can purchase these services up to three days in advance if you are not staying in a Disney Resorts Hotel during your stay.
Holger, you'll be arriving just in time to experience the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which begins on March 5th. This has always been one of my favorite events, mostly for the sheer beauty that it brings to EPCOT. Between the beautiful flower displays, creative topiaries, and delicious Outdoor Kitchens, you'll be amazed by all that it brings.
I hope you have a magical day at EPCOT next month!
See ya real soon!
Greg
