Hey, Howdy, Hey, David! Thanks for your excellent question and for thinking of planDisney as a vacation planning resource!
Buzz Lightyear and Woody.
Mike and Sulley.
Aladdin and Genie.
Lightning McQueen and Mater.
Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon.
Take your pick, there are no shortages of great bromances in Disney storytelling! After all, the
Walt Disney Company began as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio – a partnership between brothers Walt and Roy O. Disney that has been a foundational source of inspiration for the last 100 years. In that spirit, a guys-only visit to Disneyland Resort sounds like an awesome way to spend some quality time with great friends!
I’m glad to hear you’ve already confirmed a
Park Hopper ticket for your one-day visit because it really is the best way to maximize your time across both Disneyland Resort theme parks. Your trip also happens to coincide with one of my favorite festival events of the year, the
Disney California Food & Wine Festival, running now through April 25, 2023. You can enjoy curated bites and sips, including specialty cocktails, craft beer, and California wines at a variety of the
Festival Marketplaces around Disney California Adventure Park.
These outdoor kiosks generally open at 10:30AM, so my suggestion would be to make a theme park reservation for your starting park at Disneyland Park. You can try to hit your high-priority attractions in that park during the morning hours which tend to be less crowded the earlier you arrive. Then, since your Park Hopper ticket will grant you access to Disney California Adventure Park beginning at 11:00AM (subject to capacity), you can head over there to begin enjoying the Festival Marketplaces, the live music, and even some culinary demonstrations often scheduled on the weekends! Plus, don’t miss out on the limited return of
Soarin’ Over California, which features landscapes from across the Golden State in the attraction's original storyline when it debuted in 2001.
Now, Dave, I have one other signature offering that I want to mention. For those true fans of the art and science of mixology, brewing, and winemaking, you can book special
beverage education and tasting seminars hosted by some of the region’s industry experts. I know these have been very popular among Guests at this year’s Festival, so I’m not sure what availability looks like for your visit date, but it may be worth a look at the reservations page to see what might open up for your group! Talk about a unique and unforgettable culinary experience!
Well, David, I hope this is a helpful start as you get your plans sorted for your upcoming trip. Your visit may be only one day, but those memories will last for years to come! If we can help with any other recommendations, please come back and visit us here at
planDisney. Cheers to an epic adventure ahead!
Magically yours,
Tishra
