We have a one year old that will be turning two while we are on our first ever cruise. Does the cruise line do anything for kids when they celebrate their birthday during their cruise? If so, what do they do for the child??

My family LOVES celebrating our birthdays onboard the Disney Cruise ship, Del!

It just feels extra special and the cast and crew do such an amazing job of making their guests feel so special. Your little one may not remember it -- but I'm sure you'll have loads of pictures to remember all those magical moments on board.

Don't forget to include a note in your cruise reservation that you are celebrating a very special birthday while on your vacation. This important piece of information is passed on to your dining team and they'll plan on a birthday dessert for your table -- and a birthday song on one of your dinner evenings. Your head server will usually see the special occasion notation and they'll even reconfirm this with you on your 1st night at your assigned dining area. Feel free to mention this to your server as well -- and you guys can even decide when to do the 'special birthday celebration'.

The Nursery might actually do something a little different and fun for the kids spending a birthday while at the Youth Clubs. They're all so full of surprises!

Wishing you a magical birthday cruise, Del!
