One of my 12 year old sons was diagnosed with Celiac Disease since our trip last year. We are planning a trip to Disney next November. Will we be able to find gluten free meals everywhere or should we pack all meals every day?

    Hello Eileen!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It is a pleasure to answer your very first question!

As a Guest following a special diet myself, I am happy to share with you that the Walt Disney World Resort goes above and beyond to offer all visitors magical dining experiences, including those with dietary restrictions. Several restaurants offer allergy-friendly menus to address different intolerances such as gluten or wheat. Every restaurant I have dined at so far has been able to not only accommodate my requests, but to offer delicious options - even allergy-friendly Mickey waffles!

I recommend noting your child’s condition on all dining reservations at the time of booking. Upon arriving at the restaurant, talk to your server about her special dietary needs, and please note that you may even ask to speak directly with the chef. Many quick-service locations also offer gluten free options. For further assistance, you may contact the Special Diets team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days ahead of your visit, and they will assist you navigate the dining process.

Moms Panel tip: you can start making dining reservations 180 days in advance! Book online, using the My Disney Experience mobile app, or call (407) 939-3463 to secure your favorite restaurants.

I hope this helps you while planning, Eileen! Please stop by real soon if you have more questions.

    Best magical wishes,
