Hi there, Jennifer!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you sailed by with your question about cruising with Captain Mickey! The most magical and memorable adventure awaits you onboard a
Disney Cruise Line ship and I love that you are planning on taking a little Mouseketeer with you! My boys have been sailing with Captain Mickey since they were both under one and we have some of the best memories from those early voyages!
While traveling with little ones doesn’t always seems like a vacation, Disney Cruise Line gives parents the opportunity to enjoy themselves, too! The onboard
“it’s a small world” nursery! gives you that chance by providing a safe, comforting and inviting place for the littlest cruisers to go while you enjoy yourself onboard - or even on land! When my boys were little, we would use the nursery as often as we could, especially for naptimes and a date night at Palo! Although there is an additional cost for the use of the nursery, it is definitely worth it! While always subject to change, the current pricing for one child is $4.50/half-hour and it is highly recommended that you make reservations when your onboard booking window opens (75-days prior to sailing for first-time Guests).
Disney Cruise Line is extremely accommodating to Guests with
dietary restrictions and allergies. My boys have a dairy allergy resulting in my entire family being dairy-free and we have always been taken care of with the upmost care…and we never leave the “Mickey Boat” hungry or feeling like we missed out on something delicious. Once you get your vacation booked you can note your reservation with your dietary needs, and it will alert the dining room servers prior to you even getting onboard. Then, once you meet your dining room servers, they will discuss with your specific needs and make sure you have everything you need while onboard.
I am so excited for you and the magic that awaits you and your family onboard! Please come back with any other planning questions you have!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
