Greetings Stefany, and welcome to planDisney!
Nothing is more memorable than experiencing the magic of
Disneyland Resort through your child's eyes. I can't wait for you to take your little one for the first time! At age 1, your tot is a special guest of Mickey Mouse and will not need a
ticket or proof of age to enter the theme parks. Once children turn 3, they must have theme park admission.
Your one-year-old can experience any
attraction without a height requirement at
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park. The youngest Mouseketeers tend to enjoy some rides and shows more than others. Some of my kids' favorites at that age included
Dumbo the Flying Elephant,
"it's a small world," Casey J. Circus Train,
Disney Junior Dance Party!, and
King Arthur Carrousel. They also loved exploring
Mickey's Toontown and watching parades. Check the
Disneyland mobile app to see when
"Magic Happens" Parade will occur during your visit; I recommend lining up near "it's a small world" to catch the parade as soon as it begins.
My little ones have always loved
meeting characters, but not all toddlers are ready for this. Consider booking a character meal at
Goofy's Kitchen or
Plaza Inn so your child can see Disney friends from a distance before going in for a hug.
I hope this has been helpful, Stefany, and that you have an unforgettable visit with your child. One final tip before I go! Familiarize yourself with the
Baby Care Center locations. These are great places for a diaper change, feeding, or a break from the excitement of the theme parks. If you forgot any essentials, they'll likely be available here. Best wishes for a wonderful trip, and we'll see ya real soon!
