Hi there, Nicole!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your vacation planning question. It looks like your visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth is just days away. I'm so excited for your family to share this special experience together! Nicole, I'm happy to help you navigate allergy-friendly dining options at the Walt Disney World Resort.
When my son was an infant, he had a food intolerance, just like your son. Therefore, I fully understand how challenging food allergies can be for a nursing mother! I want to reassure you that you'll be able to find plenty of flavorful
allergy-friendly options at the Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, I've enjoyed some of my favorite allergy-friendly meals at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and Disney Resort hotels! To get a feel for what's available, I encourage you to download the
My Disney Experience mobile app. There, you'll be able to browse menus for restaurants, quick-service locations, and snack carts throughout the Walt Disney World Resort - many of which include "Egg Allergy-Friendly" sections! Nicole, many dining locations offer
mobile food and beverage ordering through the mobile app. Selecting allergy-friendly options is a breeze when utilizing this feature!
Your visit overlaps with the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which means you'll be able to spot colorful springtime blooms and Disney character-inspired topiaries throughout the theme park! Nicole, you'll be pleased to find many plant-based allergy-friendly options available at many of the
Outdoor Kitchens around World Showcase. (My favorite plant-based food item offered at this year's festival is the Impossible Lumpia at Trowel & Trellis!) If you're unsure whether a menu item meets your dietary requirements, you can always ask to view an ingredients list or speak with a special diets-trained Cast Member, although this isn't guaranteed.
Nicole, did you know that there are many complimentary entertainment and recreational offerings that your son may enjoy outside the theme parks? When my son was an infant, we loved stopping by
Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground to visit the "Happiest Horses on Earth!" You might also consider watching the theme park fireworks from a distant location to ensure that even the littlest Mouseketeer in your club enjoys the show without being frightened by the sound! When my son was younger, we loved having dinner at one of the Disney Resort hotels near Magic Kingdom Park and then watching
Happily Ever After from the beachfront. Finally, don't miss the
Baby Care Centers in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. These air-conditioned, quiet areas will provide a fantastic place to nurse, change, and relax with your son!
I hope that you find this information helpful, Nicole. I'm wishing your family a most magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other questions, stop back by planDisney again anytime. We're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
