One week to go! If we choose not to charge things to our room during our stay using our MagicBands, do the MagicBands still work for making purchases? Or do we have to have things charged to the room in order to make purchases through the MagicBand?

    Hi Rachel,

I know you must be so excited to be down to single digit "sleeps" until you are at The Happiest Place on Earth. How fun! MagicBands are linked to the credit or debit card that you have on file in your My Disney Experience account, which was used to make your reservations and pay for your accommodations. So, if you do use your MagicBand to pay for items within the parks and Resorts, it will be charged to that card. One cool amenity to the MagicBands is that you can set up an "allowance" on each band. For our upcoming trip, we will be allotting 25 dollars to my son's MagicBand for him to spend freely. Once that allotment is gone, however, he will not be able to charge any more money to the account. This might be a great option for you.

Wishing you a pixie-dust filled vacation!
