We are going for one week and have the deluxe dining package. Any advice on how to schedule breakfast , lunch and dinner and the best times of the day? Also we have a 5 year old do you typically go back to the room for breaks?

    Hi Kelly,
With small children, I tend to try to follow their meal schedules that you keep at home.  For us, this meals an early breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Breakfasts usually start at 8 am and lunch at 11 am and dinner at 4:30 pm. Since you are staying at a Disney resort, I would take advantage of Extra Magic Hours.  This allows you to enter the theme parks one hour earlier or stay up to three hours later.  When making your Advanced Dining Reservations, be sure to do so 180 days prior to your vacation to make sure you can get the reservations that you want.  Depending on your child, you may want to go back to the room to nap or maybe just to swim. We usually don't go back to the room and just take our time around the parks and take breaks in the park.  You will have two snacks, and I find that when your child is fed, your life is happier.  Some of my favorite restaurants that you may want to look into are the following.  In Magic Kingdom, I love the Crystal Palace where you will meet Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore and the Liberty Tree Tavern.  Cinderella's Royal Table requires two Table Service meal, and I would recommend it for dinner.  At Epcot, the Garden Grille Restaurant, Coral Reef Restaurant, Le Cellier Steakhouse, and the Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall are my family's favorites.  We also love the 50's Prime Time Cafe and Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Hollywood Studios.  At Animal Kingdom, the Rainforest Cafe and Tusker House are the restaurants we go to.  Tusker House has a character breakfast with Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. One of my absolute favorite restaurants is the Hoop-Dee-Do Musical Revue dinner show at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  This will count as two Table Service meals and is such a fun show.  I hope you have a wonderful vacation, Kelly.
