At one time you could ride in the engineer's car on the monorail. Is this still possible? Would love to take my grandsons age 5 and 6 on this adventure. Thanks.

    Hello Andrew,

Unfortunately, riding in the front of the monorail with the pilot is no longer offered.  Sadly, there was a monorail accident a few years ago that occurred after park hours which led to this decision.  The accident did not involve any guests.

Disney prides itself on providing all of their guests, no matter what age, a safe environment.  That incident was enough for Disney to make the difficult decision of ending the co-pilot ride on the monorail.  Safety is the company's #1 priority.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of sad news, but I'm sure you understand. There are so many adventures for you and your grandsons to experience at Walt Disney World!  Adventure awaits!

    Have a magical day.
