Hi Leah,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I have a legendary love for the Lapu Lapu, the magical cocktail served in a pineapple at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It makes my heart so, so happy, and I’m so happy to hear it’s on your bucket list – it deserves its spot there!
I’m also happy to hear you have reservations at
‘Ohana for breakfast. The family-style food options are really delicious, and the character interactions are so much fun. When it’s time for the parade with Disney pals, I highly recommend jumping up, grabbing an instrument, and joining the fun. It’s one of those amazing “only at Walt Disney World” experiences, and it brings so much joy.
Leah, I have never actually tried to order a Lapu Lapu for breakfast, but I
really like the way you think! I suspect it won’t be a problem at all, as I’ve ordered cocktails at other breakfast locations without any trouble. I checked the hours for
Tambu Lounge, which is located right near 'Ohana and serves the Lapu Lapu, and they appear to open at 7:30 a.m. most days, so even if you couldn’t get one during your breakfast, you could pop over to Tambu Lounge for a magical drink in a pineapple either before or after your meal.
Enjoy every bite (and sip!) of your ‘Ohana breakfast, Leah, and I’m sending pineapple pixie dust your way!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
