hi, can any one tell me the location of the kennel in ft wilderness as to the pet loops. are you allowed to walk your dogs to and from the kennel to the pet loop. i know that there are strict rules on where the dogs can go. ......thanks for the info

    Hi Karen,

The last information I saw stated that pets are allowed at select full hook-up campsites (based on availability) in loops 300, 500, 700, 800, 900, 1200, 1300, 1600 and 1800.  Some of these loops are not available at the moment until they have finished completing construction on some premium sites that is taking place from July "2008" until April "2009".  I suggest that you call the guest information number at (407) 939-6244 and speak with a cast member in order to get the up-to-date information on available pet loops as well as vaccinations your pets are required to be up-to-date on in order to stay in these pet specified loops.  The pets must be kept in these designated loops and there is an additional charge per day for them.  Owners are expected to clean up after their pets and there are all the necessary receptacles in which to deposit your pets waste located at the entrance/exit of each of these specified pet loops and at these locations you also will find supplies of waste collection bags for your use.  It really is just common courtesy for all guests enjoyment that these rules are in place.  The Kennel is located at the entrance to Fort Wilderness Campground (by the Outpost Depot) so you may not walk your pets to the kennel from the pet loops (as I mentioned already...they must stay within those limits!).  I hope this helps.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
