How do you get on one of the shuttles from the campground? Do you just get on or do you have to show some sort of identification to ride the shuttle?

    Hi Mary,

You have to show your Ft. Wilderness identification to get in to the Resort. There is a gate attendant at the Reception Outpost who stops cars as they come in. If you are a guest, simply show them your Key to the World card that you'll get when you check in.

If you are not staying at Ft. Wilderness but are just going there to enjoy a meal, horseback riding or other activity, simply inform the gate attendant and they will show you where to park. You can then take the internal shuttle to the Settlement Trading Post from there.

So, to answer your question in short: You don't have to show identification to actually get on the shuttle, but you do need to show it to get into the Fort.

    Have a wonderful vacation,
