We have one res. for my 11 y/o at Savi's, my 15 y/o will be taking her. Since only 2 people allowed in, will I be allowed in to help them pay at the end if they choose add on's? It is just the three of us, don't want to leave one alone. Thanks!

    Hi, there!

Welcome back to planDisney, Amanda. We always love when you stop by with your Disney vacation planning questions! It looks like your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is only a few weeks away. How exciting! There's no place I'd rather be, that's for sure.

My family and I just returned from our most recent Walt Disney World Resort vacation last month. We had the very best time during our 8-day stay, but the absolute highlight for my 11-year old was his experience at Savi's Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. He had waited three years to build a custom lightsaber with the help of the "Gatherers," and the experience did not disappoint!

When my son arrived for his reservation at Savi's Workshop, he first selected his hilt theme. He had four themes to choose from, and being the Padawan that he truly is, he selected 'Peace and Justice.' He then paid for the experience at the check-in desk outside before being escorted inside Savi's secret workshop. At no point during the lightsaber building experience was my son offered additional customization options for purchase. Aside from the initial payment upon arrival, there were no opportunities to buy 'add-ons.' This is all to say, your kiddos should not have to pay for anything once they're inside Savi's Workshop. When your 11-year old pays for the experience upfront, you are more than welcome to be there, as that transaction is done outside at the check-in stand.

If your 11-year old is interested in additional customization options, stop by Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities after their reservation at Savi's Workshop. There you can purchase unique items from Dok-Ondar's rotating collection, including rare kyber crystals for your child's new lightsaber.

You may want to consider granting your kiddos charging privileges on their MagicBands or their Key to the World cards. That way, your kids can charge to your room folio when you're separated. Our most recent visit was the first that I allowed my older children to have charging privileges on their MagicBands. I just stopped by the Front Desk when we arrived at our Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and a friendly Cast Member helped me get that all set up!

I hope this was helpful, Amanda. As always, please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have!
