Hiya, Shawn!
A warm welcome to planDisney. Thank you for stopping by with a fantastic
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! In just a few days, your family will be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth. The countdown is almost over and your exciting getaway is nearly here! As you prepare for a wonder-filled wintertime escape with your loved ones, I'm here to help you navigate how to utilize
Disability Access Service (DAS) at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Shawn, I understand you're hoping to use DAS during your upcoming Disney Parks vacation. Eligible Guests may pre-register for
DAS Advance via live video chat with a friendly Cast Member between two to 30 days ahead of their arrival. I'm happy to inform you that Guests registered for DAS may include up to five additional individuals in their
return window selections. Therefore, your family members are welcome to purchase theme park admission on their own, and then before completing the pre-registration process, you'll want to link them to your
Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience. (My fellow panelist Ashley recently described this linking process to another Guest
here!) Once your family members are linked to you, and as long as they have valid theme park admission, you'll be able to easily include them in any return time selections you make using DAS.
When you're ready to pre-register for DAS, simply navigate to the page titled "
Registering for Disability Access Service" on the Walt Disney World Resort website, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click "Request Live Video Chat." You'll be connected to a helpful Cast Member who will confirm your eligibility and assist you with making your first DAS Advance selections! Shawn, keep in mind that DAS Advance selections must be booked at least two days prior to the day you intend to use them, so I encourage you to pre-register as soon as possible. Alternatively, you're welcome to register in-person once you arrive at The Most Magical Place on Earth. To
register on-site, simply visit a Guest Relations location at any of the four theme park main entrances!
Shawn, I hope these details help you to prepare for a pixie-dusted family vacation and I wish you many magical memories at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any additional questions before your visit, feel free to stop back by
planDisney anytime. We're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
