Welcome to planDisney Michael!
I think you are remembering the Disney Vacation Account that was an option back around 2015/2016. This program has been discontinued.
You can still plan ahead and budget for your Walt Disney World vacation. If you book a vacation package (room and tickets) directly with Disney, you will need a $200 deposit to hold your reservation. You can then make payments on your vacation, with the balance due 30 days before arrival. Between the time you book and the balance due date, you can make
payments easily online as often as you wish. Just don't forget that payoff date!
Other guests choose to purchase Disney Gift Cards and save those up to pay for their vacations. This works better for
Room Only reservations or if purchasing
Theme Park Tickets separately as payment plans are not available for these purchases.
While not actually a savings plan, I like having the Disney Visa Card by Chase. Card holders get a percentage back in Disney Rewards that can be used anywhere a credit card or gift card is accepted in Walt Disney World.
Good luck saving for your vacation. It will be worth it when you have your vacation paid for and all you have to do is enjoy the magic!
