Greetings and welcome to planDisney, Anita. Thanks for visiting us with the question.
Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that your friend wasn't able to join you for your Disney day and I hope she's feeling better. Not to worry, there is some flexibility built into her theme park ticket. Your friend can absolutely make another theme park reservation that works for her before the expiration date of her wholly unused theme park ticket.
If the theme park ticket was purchased at the Disneyland site recently, the expiration date is most likely December 30, 2024, if it's a one-day ticket, or January 12, 2025, if it's a multi-day ticket. You can also find the expiration date when the ticket is linked in the
Disneyland app. You'll tap "☰" on the bottom right and then the "Tickets and Passes" tile to find the expiration date under the ticket's barcode.
Whenever she's ready to schedule her visit, she can look at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to find a day that will work and then
make her theme park reservation. If she's not able to use her ticket before the expiration date, no need to worry about that either. Wholly unused expired tickets (excluding special event tickets) can
be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket that's equal to or greater than the price of the original ticket.
I hope this helps and I hope you are all able to find another day soon to visit the Happiest Place on Earth. There are so many wonderful things happening at the resort with the
Disney100 Celebration in full swing. I just returned from a trip and am still thinking about how fantastic the Magic Happens Parade is. The music, the costumes, the characters and the performers are all so magical. I still have the song playing in my head. I hope you're able to experience this parade - it's a must-do.
Anita, if you have any other questions that come to mind, please come back to visit us. Until then, here's hoping you're able to visit again soon.
