Disney Genie+ for the entirety of your group then that shouldn't be a problem. You'll just need to make sure that everyone is linked to your
My Disney Experience account by adding
Family & Friends. To purchase Disney Genie+ on a day-to-day basis is really simple. All you have to do is open up the
My Disney Experience Mobile App and on the home screen you should find something in purple that says, "Disney Genie+ Service - Add even more magic to your visit." Tap "Purchase for Today" and then "Continue" and you'll be taken to a list of all the people in your party that you've added via your Friends & Family list. You're going to want to select the members of your party that will use this service. Once you do that, you'll then make your purchase.
As of today, you can make a reservation for up to 12 Guests for a Lightning Lane arrival window or an Individual Lightning Lane entrance. However, as you've mentioned, your party is going to be larger than this. Hakuna Matata, Suzanne! Here's what I would do in your situation: simply assign
two people in your group to be in charge of making selections. You can then have one person book selections for 8, and another person book selections for the other 8. Just make sure that those in charge of making the selections search for availability at the same time. This way, they can more likely secure a selection in the same arrival window. Therefore, even though you're technically booking more than one group, you can enjoy the attraction together because you have the same arrival window. You just need to make sure that each person in your group is linked through
