    One person from our party can not attend. How do we cancel their ticket for use on a later date

    Hey Monica!

    Welcome to planDisney. Thank you for sending us your question about Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets.

    Monica, I’m sorry to learn that someone in your party can no longer visit the Most Magical Place on Earth during your upcoming vacation. We understand that travel plans change often during this unprecedented time, which is why we’ve made changing theme park tickets and travel dates simpler to do. We want to make sure that visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the phased reopening is stress-free and filled with magical memories for your family, Monica!

    You will be happy to know that if the theme park ticket is not a date-specific ticket, you do not need to make any changes at all. It does not need to be modified and will not begin to expire until after its first use.

    If you purchased a date-specific ticket and don’t use it or need to cancel your vacation, you may apply the value of the wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date!

    If you are not sure about the type of ticket your family member has, or want to make any additional changes, it’s quite simple to do from home. I have used the following e-mail address for information on ticket expiration dates, ticket changes, and general ticket questions.

    Please e-mail ticket.usage@disneyworld.com and include the following information:

    - Photograph or scan of the front and back of your ticket
    - Your full name
    - Where and when ticket your ticket was purchased
    - The purchaser’s name and form of payment used
    - A phone number where you can be reached during the day

    It can take them up to 14 days to reply. If you are traveling soon, please e-mail them as soon as possible.

    Many questions can also be answered by friendly Cast Members via online chat or phone. Please visit the Walt Disney World Resort help center page and direct your attention to the top right of the page to choose how to communicate with a Cast Member.
