One person in my lightning lane multipass group isn’t going to join on some rides to wait with an infant when she can’t ride. Does the person not riding need to scan into the LL queue entrance for me to be able to book another ride for the whole group?

    Hi Matthew!

Welcome to planDisney!  As my friend Princess Tiana would say, you're Almost There. . .almost to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation that is!  Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass are both great tools to help you save time waiting in lines so you can make the most of your park days.  In addition to the three pre-arrival selections you can purchase, you also can select additional attractions throughout the day (based on availability) each time you redeem one of your entries.

Matthew, there are dozens of attractions handheld infants can enjoy around Walt Disney World Resort.  The greatest number of these can be found at Magic Kingdom Park, but there are many options at each of the four theme parks.  While even the littlest Mouseketeers can enjoy much of the magic offered, there are going to be some rides and attractions that they won't be able to join the rest of your group.  When using Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you have a few options to help everyone have the best day ever!

During your initial pre-arrival selections, you must choose the same attractions for everyone in your group.  However, once your purchase is complete, you can go back and attempt to modify these selections individually.  For example, your group could have a Lightning Lane entry to ride alongside the Great Goofini on The Barnstormer, but then you modify for one person in your group to instead enjoy Dumbo the Flying Elephant at a similar time which they can ride with the infant in your party.  Once everyone has redeemed their Lightning Lane entry, you can then attempt to select another attraction to enjoy later in the day.

A second option is to take advantage of Rider Switch during your visits to the parks.  This service allows one member of your party to wait with the infant and then swap places once the initial group has finished riding.  Rider Switch is available for select attractions in each park and the Cast Members at the queue entrance will be happy to assist your group with the process.  With this option, everyone in your group will get to enjoy your selected attractions and you can search for additional Lightning Lane entries once each rider has redeemed their selection.

Matthew, I hope this helps provide some alternative ideas so that everyone in your group can fully enjoy the benefits of Lightning Lane Multi Pass while also caring for the infant in your party!  One final tip I'd like to share is to locate the Baby Care Centers available in each of the theme parks. These are the perfect places to feed, change, or rest with a little one throughout the day.  They have been an important part of our visits over the years and I'm sure you'll find them incredibly beneficial as well!
