Mary from TX Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

One person in our family will be working online some days during our vacation and won't know schedule until each morning. If we schedule ADR, can we easily modify (remove him) from the party without completely losing the reservation?

Hey there, Mary! Welcome back to planDisney! It's awesome to have you here with us again. We're thrilled that you trust your trip planning to your panelist pals. Let's catch up on Advanced Dining Reservations, shall we?

You'll be happy to know that you can modify or cancel advanced dining reservations using the My Disney Experience app on the go. And here's some excellent news - for most restaurants, you can make changes up to two hours before your reservation time without incurring any fees. However, please keep in mind that restaurant policies are subject to change without notice. To check out the specific policies for each restaurant, just take a look at the confirmation email you received when you made your reservation.

Some of the experiences have specific modification and cancellation policies. For example, once you confirm a reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review, Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties (Pre-Party, Post-Party, and Seats & Sweets), Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise, Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package, Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package, Celebration at the Top – Sip, Savor, Sparkle and the Top of the World Lounge, modifications are not allowed.

Some restaurants have specific cancellation policies that may require you to cancel your reservation earlier to avoid any cancellation fees. For instance, if you have a reservation at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, you must cancel at least one day before the reservation time. Similarly, if you have a reservation at Monsieur Paul, you will need to cancel at least three days prior to the reservation time. Finally, if you have a reservation at Victoria & Albert's, you will need to cancel at least five days prior to the reservation time. The cancellation fee will vary depending on the restaurant. Therefore, we recommend you double-check the confirmation email for all your reservations before making any changes.

Since you'll be in the loop with the daily schedule each morning, this shouldn't be too much of a hassle. However, if you have breakfast reservations, it's a good idea to plan ahead to avoid those fees.

If you happen to remove a family member from the reservation but they can join you later, there's no guarantee that they will have a seat. Still, most Cast Members will go above and beyond to accommodate everyone.

Mary, I'm crossing my fingers and wishing on a star that everyone in your party will have some genuinely scrumptious and unforgettable meals while you're at the Walt Disney World Resort. I just know that you'll all have an absolute blast together! If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to give us a shout - We're always here to help out a friend!

    Cheers
    Nilson
