Hi there, Ethan, and welcome to planDisney!
While working on vacation might not feel magical, I can’t think of a better place to take customer service calls than aboard a Disney ship! Disney recently updated its internet packages, and there are now two packages to choose from.
The first package allows Zoom and Wi-Fi calling but excludes music streaming and long-form video. If your friend needs more connectivity, the Internet + Streaming package supports audio and video calls and provides access to popular streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, and more. I’d personally lean toward this package for the stronger bandwidth.
Keep in mind that
satellite connectivity at sea has some limitations, so while the service is reliable, I can't guarantee a seamless experience. Currently, the Internet package is $22 per day, while the Internet + Streaming plan is $35 per day. Prices and availability are subject to change. Once onboard, your friend can find more details on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Speaking of the app, everyone will want to download it to their phone. The good news is that not everyone needs their own Disney account to access its onboard features. Once connected to the ship's Wi-Fi, just enter your stateroom number and name, and the app transforms into your personal cruise companion. You'll be able to chat with your travel party and view the daily activity and entertainment schedule with ease.
Ethan, while your friend is busy working and you're off having the time of your life, suggest they make the most of it by ordering complimentary
Room Service. After all, if you have to work on vacation, it might as well be with a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar in hand!
SEAS the adventure!
