I only have one payment left. Is there a reason I would not want to pay our trip off early(3 months)? I did not purchase trip insurance. Thank you for your help

    Hi Savannah!

Thanks for your question. Perhaps the one thing I like as much as visiting Disney World, is paying off my vacation package well prior to my arrival date! Like paying off any very large bill, I get personal satisfaction each time I cross the finish line in terms of completing my Disney vacation payments. Kudos to you for being in position to do this 3 months early! :-)

I see no downside to paying off your vacation early. In terms of Disney's Vacation Package cancellation policy, you can cancel your vacation 30 days or more prior to arrival with no Disney penalty (other 3rd party considerations, however, would need to be looked at separately, i.e. airline tickets). Cancellations between 2-29 days before arrival constitute a $200 cancellation penalty, and 1 day or less is charged the vacation full price.

So whether you pay 3 months, 2 months, or 1 month prior to your arrival, you can cancel without expecting any additional penalties from Disney. The key is anything 29 days or less is going to constitute a fee.

Hope this helps. Enjoy the resort hotels, theme parks, and dining. Have a Mickey Magical Day!
