I have one night with my two kids, 13 &15 I am undecided to stay at contemporary or grand floridian.. We will be one day at disney the other at epcot. I wanted to book a club level room or save money and do pontoon boat and see fiireworks that way..

    Hi Christina!

It sounds like you're planning an amazing, whirlwind trip with your teens at Walt Disney World!

Given the ages of your kids, and your plans for your two, magical days, I'd recommend Disney's Contemporary Resort with a Tower, Magic Kingdom View room. This way you'd enjoy the magic of Wishes fireworks right from your resort room balcony. There is really nothing more magical than a view of Magic Kingdom at night! If you're unable to secure a Theme Park view, then by all means, consider a regular room or a Club Level room and go for that pontoon rental! Oddly enough, we were torn between the same two resorts for our next stay so we let the kids vote. They're 11 and 14 and they unanimously and without hesitation chose Disney's Contemporary Resort.

I recently reserved a pontoon myself in celebration of my husband's 40th birthday and my tween and teen enjoyed it thoroughly. Some of the best money ever spent on an 'extra' at Walt Disney World. You can also arrange for catering on board if you wish (specialty beverages, a custom or celebration cake or other snacks). Standard options include sodas, water and bagged snacks such as chips. Your pontoon 'Captain' will take you on a tour around Bay Lake and The Seven Seas Lagoon complete with fun Disney World facts and trivia before finding that perfect viewing spot for Wishes. To say it's a 'magical experience' is an understatement! To reserve a pontoon for your visit, call (407) WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529).

Disney's Contemporary Resort is ideally situated to allow for you to walk back and forth to Magic Kingdom and to jump on the monorail just one stop to the Transportation & Ticket Center where you'll connect to the Epcot monorail.

I hope this helps you out Christina! If you have additional questions, by all means write me back! I'd love to hear from you again. Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
