Hi Melissa,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a question about your future Walt Disney World visit. Before we get down to business, I just want you to know that you're planning to visit the resort at my most favorite time of year - Christmas! This is a special time at Disney World; you’ll get to see all the beautiful holiday decorations, taste the holiday-themed snacks, and enjoy specially ticketed events like
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and
Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios. These events are festive offerings that celebrate the magic of the holidays at Walt Disney World, and now that we are
Halfway to the Holidays its a great time to start planning.
These events are my family’s favorite holiday activities. At Magic Kingdom during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you’ll see characters dressed in their best holiday outfits and you may even get the chance to meet some of them, like Jack Skellington and Sally at Town Square Theater. You’ll see spectacular entertainment like
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas Parade and
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, and see some of your favorite attractions even get in on the holiday fun with themed overlays. Over in Hollywood Studios, Jollywood Nights will dazzle you with all the fun, holiday-themed entertainment offered like
Disney Holidays in Hollywood with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy as well as a host of other Disney friends and
What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along. At both events, you’ll find the most festive food, fun and entertainment. You’re going to have such a great time!
Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, and Shades of Green will be able to purchase tickets for either event as early as July 9. Yes, you’ll even be able to purchase a ticket for your check-out day. Keep in mind that these events end pretty late, so you will want to consider that when planning for your transportation home on your last day.
I hope this information is helpful, Melissa. Come on back and let us know if you need any additional help with planning your Christmastime visit - we’d love to help. In the meantime, TTFN… ta-ta for now!
