Hello again, Ricki, and welcome back to planDisney! I think it's safe to say that I'm all in on this upcoming trip of yours here at the end of January to the Disneyland Resort. I'm so glad this has been helpful for you - and happy to be able to sprinkle some extra Pixie Dust on your vacation plans!
In terms of nighttime spectaculars, the good news is that the new Fireworks spectacular,
Wondrous Journeys, will be at 9:35 p.m. on January 29, so you should have no problem catching that one. Unfortunately, there are no showings of
Fantasmic! on
the events calendar again until February 3. However, this does still leave
World of Color - ONE in
Disney California Adventure Park for you to see as well! My family and I absolutely love Fantasmic!, so I am bummed you will not be able to experience that on this trip. Fortunately, there will still be so much to do and see (and taste!) on your trip as part of the
Disney100 celebration.
One extra tip I wanted to share when it comes to fireworks at Disneyland Park is where to view them. Typically, my absolute favorite spot is in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, though that can get quite crowded at times. I would definitely try to get a spot here if you can to see Baymax soaring high above Sleeping Beauty Castle! However, if that doesn't work out, another great viewing spot would also be i
n front of "it's a small world" since you'll see the projections and fireworks there as well.
I think I might've seen at least one more question from you coming up in our queue, so I'm looking forward to digging into that one and any other ways we can help. Again, I'm thrilled that my answers have been helpful to you! We are guests just like you who want to help other guests plan the most magical trip to the Disney Parks. So, in the words of Captain America, "I could do this all day!"
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
