There is nothing quite like spending the day soaking up the sun on
Disney Castaway Cay! It is one of my favorite ports to visit because it provides those relaxing
island vibes with touches of Disney magic around every corner. As you may know, the Mickey and Minnie Cove Cabanas are new additions to the island and just began operating in December 2025. They are located on the Serenity Bay side of the island, but are family-friendly and will give your pirate crew a little hideaway all to yourself.
I spoke with a cast member and confirmed that each cabana includes the use of sand toys as one of the amenities, but unfortunately the toys are only meant to be used during your time on the island and are not keepsakes to bring home. However, if your little guy wants some Disney Cruise Line sand toys for souvenirs, then you can check out the merchandise available at the two shops called “She Sells SeaShells and Everything Else” or “Buy the Seashore.” Just be aware that both of these shops are located near the main family beach areas and not on the Serenity Bay side, so you may want to pick them up before you head out to your cabana for the day.
