How does one get the Memory Maker military discount? How soon in advance of the trip? How does it work? Thanks!

    Hi Melissa!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mine is also a Military family, and we visited Walt Disney World Resort last month so I have fresh advice (and a clear memory!) of this transaction.

For the rest of this year, Military families may purchase Memory Maker packages for a special military rate of $98. To receive this discount, you will need to purchase this PhotoPass product in person at any Guest Relations location once you arrive. You may have read that guests who purchase a non-military Memory Maker after they arrive may not receive photos taken within a few days of the purchase, however that stipulation does not apply to the military rate. I purchased our package as we were queuing up for a rope drop on our first day and we were able to instantly save the first round of PhotoPass photos that we took a few hours later.

Pro Tip: Since all members of your party are able to share one Memory Maker, double check that everyone who has their own My Disney Experience account is linked to your profile now to make it easier to save and share photos later.

Bonus Pro Tip: You can purchase your Memory Maker option at the same time that you validate your U.S. Military Promotional Tickets. We usually take care of this at Disney Springs the day we arrive. This way we don't have to bring our Military IDs with us into the parks.

We'll See You Real Soon, Melissa!
