Hi Camille! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Sometimes life gets in the way and we're not able to follow through with our fun plans. This can be so disappointing! We've had illness interrupt our vacation plans, which wasn't a magical outcome, so I understand the situation. According to the terms of purchase, Disneyland Resort
admission tickets are non-refundable, so there is no way to cancel his ticket. I'm sorry if that's not the news you were looking for, but I do have some good news: wholly unused tickets always retain their value even after they've expired. So, even if the Guest can't reschedule their
theme park reservation before the expiration date, they can still apply the value of the ticket to the purchase of a new ticket in the future.
I recently did this with several tickets that were purchased and wholly unused from a few years ago, applying them to the purchase of tickets for this year's trip! I simply called the
Tickets phone line and spoke with a helpful Cast Member, who was happy to assist me with this transaction. They even had to do a little digging to locate the tickets, which had gone missing from the
Disneyland mobile app, but they straightened it all out and I'm looking forward to a trip with my family this fall.
I hope that helps and this member of your party can start to dream about the next time they can visit the parks! Sometimes planning the next trip is the best medicine for disappointment.
Have a magical day.
Elizabeth
