Welcome to planDisney, Danielle! In just a few more days, you'll arrive for a magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to take some time to enjoy the springtime splendor of the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival and the
Easter egg displays at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Disney's Yacht Club! You can even pick up a seasonal treat or two!
Danielle,
Lightning Lane Passes are a great way to avoid longer wait times, especially during busier times to visit, like Spring Break, but typically the first redemption window starts at park opening. I did take a peek at the
Park Hours & Events Calendar for this weekend, and I noticed that Magic Kingdom Park is opening at 8 AM on several days this weekend and into next week, likely to offer extended times ahead of Spring Break! Because of this, I'd verify your park hours online or in the
My Disney Experience mobile app for each day of your vacation, as the hours could have shifted since you last checked! You may find that you'll be getting some extra time to enjoy the parks, and that would explain the earlier Lightning Lane redemption window as well!
If you would prefer a later time, you can always
modify your existing time in the My Disney Experience mobile app to better align with your plans. I do prefer having at least one early redemption window so that I can book another available attraction or experience as soon as I tap into my first one for the day; I find you often see a better selection during the early hours of the day!
Danielle, I hope this helps! I'm sure you're going to have a magical day at my favorite park; be sure to make time to see
Happily Ever After light up the sky above Cinderella Castle at the end of your day; it's the most iconic way to celebrate your Disney vacation! If you have any other questions, come back and see us again at
planDisney!
See you real soon,
Alison
