Hi Jerry,
I also have two teenagers in my house and understand what you mean about enjoying your moments with them to the fullest before they fly from the nest. I believe you are going to find that a vacation at Walt Disney World is not only for the young, but the young at heart. My children range in age from preschoolers to teenagers and they all look forward to our family vacations at Walt Disney World.
I think that your teens will be drawn to the theme parks based more on their interests rather than their ages. Since you mention your teens are quite different in their personalities I suggest looking at the attractions at each of the theme parks and deciding which appeal most to each of them. With that in mind, my own teens voted Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios as their top two theme parks. Disney's Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom tied as their next favorite parks.
For your vacation I recommend staying at a Disney Resort hotel. Since Disney transportation is included from their Resort hotels to the theme parks, water parks, and Downtown Disney Area you will find that your teens can have quite a bit of freedom if you are comfortable with them traveling on their own to or from these areas. For example if you are an early riser and want to visit a theme park one morning but your teens like to sleep in, you can use the transportation system at different times. There are many Disney Resort hotels to choose from and for the budget minded Guest there are
Value Resort hotels which offer a great value while still delivering all of the convenience and Magic of staying at a Disney Resort hotel.
Have a Disney Day!
