One of my kids can't swim yet. Do I need to bring floaties or do they provide life jackets? Are we allowed to use our own floats in Disney resort hotel pools?

Hi Katherine! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Planning for a trip with Pre-School kids and Little Ones can be so much fun...yet there can also be so much to think about! Here at the Walt Disney World Resort we are Wild About Safety. Guest safety is top priority and something that Disney takes extremely seriously. Pool safety is something that I am always concerned about. It is so easy to have a fun time splashing in the pool but I also know that need to be on your game when watching over your kids.

Each Resort hotel has life jackets available for use to guests at no extra charge. They even have life jackets in different sizes so that you can match your child up with the perfect fit. As far as I know if you would rather bring your own life jackets or water wings from home you are able to do that. I do not think that Guests are allowed to bring in actual pool floats for lounging in the pools. If you have specific questions about what types of water floats and/or pool toys are allowed at your Resort hotel, don’t hesitate to ask at the front desk.  It is also good to know that Lifeguards are on duty during certain hours of the day. Be sure to check your pool daily for up to date hours and lifeguard availability as these hours are subject to change.

I hope that you have a splashtastic time!
