Hiya Kayleen! Welcome to planDisney! I can see that your day at the Happiest Place on Earth is just a few sleeps away, so let's get Tinker Bell in here and see if she can sprinkle a little pixie dust and whisk this answer off to Neverland ... I mean ... back to you!
I'm so sorry to hear that one of the Guests in your party won't be able to make it to your park day. It's never fun to have to put a hold on the magic, but I do have some GREAT news for you! Typically, theme park tickets have quite a long runway for that pixie dust and expiration dates allow for lots of flexibility in planning. Single-day tickets purchased this year
expire on December 30, 2023 ... that's nearly 18 months of magic available to you! If you aren't sure exactly when your ticket was purchased, you can always refer back to the ticket confirmation email you received at the time of purchase or even open up your
Disneyland Mobile App. Head to the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner and select "Tickets & Passes". Here you will find any active theme park tickets and the expiration dates should be listed just under the barcode. If you have multiple tickets, just scroll to the right to see more.
If you had assigned a name to the ticket, not to worry. Tickets are officially assigned when you swipe into the Main Entrance Gates for the first time on your park day and the Cast Member snaps a photo of the Guest using the ticket. Either yourself or someone else in your party can plan to use the extra ticket at a later date!
Ok, now that that's settled, let's talk some magic. This weekend is a big one for the Disneyland Resort!
Fantasmic! is making its grand return to the Rivers of America. If watching classic Disney storytelling with sweeping music and dazzling effects makes your heart smile, you might want to set aside some time to grab a spot on the early side. I know everyone is VERY excited about Fantasmic!'s return! The good news is that there are two showtimes per evening. You can take a peek at the
Entertainment Schedule to see which might fit into your park planning. I try to catch the second showing and take advantage of those lower attraction wait times during the first performance. This is also when most Guests are along the Main Street, U.S.A. parade route to catch the first performance of the
Main Street Electrical Parade and
Disneyland Forever fireworks. It's a great time to head to
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and slide right in! If you time it just right, you might even see those fireworks light up the sky while you're on the wildest ride in the wilderness!
Kayleen, you are in for some forever memory-making this weekend! Enjoy, take in all the sights and sounds, grab a churro, and let the magic settle in around you! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Never stop dreaming,
Tara
