One of our group has had Bariatric surgery. Are there any options for decreased fees for buffets? Paying full price for a cup or so of food seems to be outrageous.

    Hi there, Linda!

Walt Disney World strives to accommodate all of the needs of its Guests. Dining is no exception.

While you'll have no trouble making portion arrangements at table-service restaurants, buffets can be somewhat trickier for the lighter eater.

Your best bet is to contact Special Dietary Requests in advance. The Cast Members will work with your travel companion to ensure that s/he is treated fairly. While there is no guarantee that there will be a substantial reduction in cost, I am confident that you will find these folks to be willing to create a reasonable plan for all concerned. Be advised that your travel companion might be required to provide documentation of the surgery,

You can also contact the Special Diets team in advance of your visit. They can be reached via email at SpecialDiets@disneyworld.com, or by telephone at (407) 824-5967.

    See you later, celebrator,
