Hi there, Meagan,
This is a great question. My preferred way to save for our Disneyland Resort vacations is by collecting Disney Gift Cards. We use them to pay for
theme park tickets, stays at
Disneyland Resort Hotels,
dining, and
souvenir shopping.
When purchasing Disneyland Resort
theme park tickets online or in the
Disneyland mobile app, there is a place to enter up to one Disney Gift Card for payment. To use more than one gift card in a single transaction, multiple cards can be combined using the
Disney Gift Card website. You can use the same account used for purchasing Disneyland Resort tickets to log in to the Disney Gift Card site. When you have multiple
cards linked to your Disney Gift Card account, you can transfer the funds from one or more cards to another card. A single gift card can hold up to $1000. Once your cards are combined into a single card, you can use that card to complete your park ticket purchase.
Tony’s Tip: If you have a large enough group that would require more than $1000 worth of park tickets, it is also possible to purchase park tickets in multiple transactions. That would allow you to use a different gift card for each separate purchase. The tickets from more than one purchase would all be linked to your account. It’s also OK for the separate groups of tickets to be tied to different
theme park reservations. As long as all of the park reservations are for the same dates and starting theme park on each date, your whole party can enter the parks together.
I’m excited for you to experience the magic of the Disneyland Resort, Meagan. Currently, the
Disney100 Celebration and the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival are bringing extra magic to the theme parks. I’m sure you’re going to love it all!
