Hi Ben, welcome to planDisney!
Fall has officially arrived at Walt Disney World Resort. Evidence A: Autumnal bunting and Cindrella pumpkin wreaths currently lead Guests down Main Street, U.S.A., toward Cinderella Castle. Evidence B: the global marketplaces at the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival offer a cornucopia of cuisines. Evidence C: Grim Grinning Guests were recently seen enjoying the first Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the season.
Valid admission, a theme park reservation for each person for each park day, and a
method of entry (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) are currently required for theme park entry.
Disney Military Salute Tickets offer star-spangled savings for eligible service members to use with friends and family. I have one such ticket linked to my My Disney Experience account for a trip with friends next month and would be happy to explain how that works.
When a friend of mine purchased my Disney Military Salute Ticket, she was given a sales receipt, an order confirmation printout, and an exchange voucher. The exchange voucher, which came in the form of a plastic card with a patriotic design on the front, contained the ID number needed to link my ticket to My Disney Experience. Your first step is to
link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account. You can link tickets for anyone with whom you are connected as
Family and Friends.
Your next step is to make a
theme park reservation for each person for each park day. I recommend linking tickets and making your theme park reservations as soon as possible so you can start strategizing your Disney days and ensure maximum theme park availability.
Disney Military Salute Tickets must be activated in person before use. Activation can take place at any ticket or Guest Relations window located outside of each theme park or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. If it works with your schedule, I recommend activating your tickets the day before your first park day to avoid any unexpected delays. Activation requires your friend to show a valid Military ID. All members of your party should be present and all adults should also be prepared to show ID. At the time of activation, you can ask for admission cards that will serve as your method of theme park entry. You can also use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to download a Disney MagicMobile pass to your phone, or you can enter the parks with a MagicBand.
Your Disney Military Salute Tickets only need to be activated once. Once activation is complete, you can head straight to the theme park entrance each day. This year, Disney Military Salute Tickets also include the Park Hopper Option, which means you can visit multiple theme parks in one day. Keep in mind that you only need a theme park reservation for the first theme park you enter each day and you must enter that park before 'hopping' to another once park hopping hours begin at 2:00 p.m.
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question today, Ben.
