Hi Marisa,
How exciting that you and your friend will be visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort so very soon! Now let's help you figure out your ground transportation from the Orlando Sanford International Airport so you will be all ready to enjoy your vacation.
As it happens, I have often flown into and out of the Orlando Sanford International Airport. If you haven't visited this airport before, you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to navigate. Personally, I have used rideshare as well as rented a car at this airport and have found both options to be quite easy. My friend has used an airport shuttle service and also found that option to be easy as well. If you decide to rent a car or use a shuttle service, I highly recommend making your reservations soon so you will be assured of transportation. However, if you opt for using a rideshare service, you will only need to make sure you have the mobile app downloaded to your phone and your payment method loaded prior to requesting a ride. I have used both Uber and Lyft from Orlando Sanford International Airport and it is usually my most economic option when traveling with one other person. I often use rideshare services while I am visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and find it is a good method for quick transportation.
There are a variety of shuttle and car services available for you to choose from that serve the Orlando Sanford International Airport. My best advice is to look at the list for these services that is on the airport's website in the pre-arranged transportation section. If you choose a transportation service from this list, then you will be choosing a company that the airport itself is affiliated with. From that list, my friend has used Airport Shuttle Service for their family and had a good experience. I have also personally used Happy Limo for private car transportation for my family and had a good experience, but I want to note for you that I used Happy Limo from the Orlando International Airport.
Marisa, did you know that the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival presented by CORKCICLE just kicked off? This is one of my favorite festivals and I hope you have a chance to check it out! As you stroll through
Global Marketplaces, be sure to take your time tasting as many offerings as you can! My best tip for first time visitors to this festival is to not eat a meal before arriving. Since you will be visiting with a friend, you also might want to share your treats so that you have enough room in your tummy to make it around the World Showcase.
Have a Magical vacation Marisa! Please come back and visit us here at
planDisney with all of your vacation planning questions.
See Ya Real Soon,
