Where would one find Barnaby Owl's mailbox in the Disneyland Resort?

Hi there, Marc, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always enjoy helping my fellow Californians plan their next visit to the Disneyland Resort, so let’s get started!

I love your question, because I also enjoy making note of the many details and “hidden gems” in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. One of the details I enjoy seeking out is the assortment of mail boxes located throughout the Resort, from the Disneyland Resort Hotels to Main Street, U.S.A.! I love how the mail boxes are themed to blend in with their surroundings, too. These handy mail boxes are the perfect spot to mail postcards to loved ones.

The mail box you’re looking for appears to live in Critter Country, at Professor Barnaby Owl’s Photographic Art Studio, which is located just outside the exit of Splash Mountain. This is where Guests can view their attraction photos after plummeting down the epic final drop on Splash Mountain. After a Google search for this mail box, I came across an article that mentioned that this Art Studio closed on March 2, 2020. According to the article, Guests can still view their on-ride photos there, but would need to purchase their actual printed photos at Main Street Photo Supply Co. So, if the viewing area is still available, I would guess that the mail box is also still there. However, if for some reason it’s not, the next-closest mail box is located at The Briar Patch. There are still plenty of other mail boxes available throughout Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and the Disneyland Resort Hotels. These collection boxes will send mail to the nearby post office for processing.

I can’t wait for you to explore the mail boxes of Disneyland Resort, too, Marc! In the meantime, if you’re looking for some fun ways to bring Disney magic into your home, I recommend checking out Disney Magic Moments. From trying out Disney recipes to watching virtual shows, parades, and attractions, there’s a little something for everyone!

    Wishing you Disney magic!
