One of our favorite rides, "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" is supposed to be closed during our upcoming trip to Disneyland. Do rides ever open back up earlier than anticipated?

Why hello, Julie! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney again. We are so glad to see you've brought us another great question!

I'm so happy to hear you are heading to Disneyland Resort soon, but what a bummer to hear that one of your favorite attractions is scheduled to be closed while are visiting. You are correct that Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is scheduled for refurbishment. According to the Entertainment Schedule, it is scheduled to be closed from July 24, 2023, until August 10, 2023. The schedule is always subject to change. I have seen before that some attractions do open back up earlier than the scheduled closures, however, I don't want to get your hopes up and say that it is likely. I recommend checking the Entertainment Schedule, as well as the Attractions map in the Disneyland app, for the most up-to-date information.

While one of your favorite rides may be closed, there is plenty to do and explore and possibly even a few new things since your last visit. If it's been a few months since you've visited, be sure to check out the newly imagined Mickey's Toontown! The updates and changes are so well done and it feels so much bigger with more to do. I love Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and it is not to be missed even if you've been on the attraction in Walt Disney World. The standby queue for this attraction is one of the best and is full of nostalgia and easter eggs to discover.

Julie, thanks again for stopping by! I hope you have another magical visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!
