Hi Crystal and welcome to planDisney!
Robin Hood is one of my favorite Disney movies! It's probably in my top three of all time favorites. It is such a classic that I can watch over and over again.
I would love to get my hands on some Robin Hood souvenirs, but they have been few and far between. I have some great news that there is a
Limited Edition Robin Hood MagicBand+ that is available for pre-order on shopDisney online, which means it will probably be available for purchase in the parks in September. I'm such a fan of olive green, so this
MagicBand+ might be added to my collection soon. I have also seen Robin Hood Loungefly backpacks and Christmas ornaments in the parks for purchase, but I'm not sure if there are any currently. Your best bet would be to ask a Cast Member in any of the gift shops if they have any Robin Hood merchandise available. If you're wanting to buy some Robin Hood things before your trip, Hot Topic and Box Lunch usually have some fun things to buy.
As far as Robin Hood characters in the theme parks, they are super rare. We once met Little John and Friar Tuck in
Magic Kingdom Park during a special event party. They could possibly make an appearance at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party since lots of rare characters come out to play for these events, but we won't know for sure until the parties start. Robin Hood is often seen on the Steamboat in the finale of
Fantasmic! in
Disney's Hollywood Studios, so that would be a great place to spot him and send him a wave.
I do hope you are able to get at least a little dose of Robin Hood during your first Walt Disney World vacation next month. Be sure to pick up a complimentary 1st Visit pin from your
Disney Resort hotel or Guest Relations at any park. Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
