Hello Brenda! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
You have a difficult decision to make between two fabulous Dinner Shows at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort in the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue or
Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Although for my family, the decision would be obvious: Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
Mickey's Backyard BBQ is a fine character experience. When the weather is nice, there is nothing quite like a Disney Dinner Show in the open-air. As well, the food is very simple (for those picky eaters) and the unique combination of meeting Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale for autographs and pictures all in one place is a special experience.
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, is in my opinion, a Walt Disney World Resort right of passage for those who have not been before and an institution that should be repeated for those that have.
Ever since my parents took me to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue 30 years ago, I waited for the chance to take my own children on our very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation. There is simply nothing else on property that matches the originality, hilarity, live entertainment and great, home-style food that is offered at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
My (then) 4-year old still vividly remembers sitting next to the piano and banjo player and talking to the performers during the show. We will be visiting again soon.
The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is 1 of my top 3 experiences in all of Walt Disney World Resort.
For either Dinner Show,
Advanced Dining Reservations are required.
Have a Happy Hootenanny!
