I only have one day to visit disney! And it’ll be the 4th of july. Which park should i choose to spend the day in?

    Hiya Emma,

Welcome to planDisney! I love that you are planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth this summer. With Cool KID’S SUMMER in full swing, this is such an incredible time to visit. I am counting down the days until I can get back to check out Animation Courtyard over at Hollywood Studios, check out the newly refurbished Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and of course, meet Bluey and Bingo Heeler at Animal Kingdom.

With only one day, Emma, I completely understand wanting to make the most of your visit. The Fourth of July is such a great time to visit and is full of excitement. I firmly believe that the best fireworks are at Walt Disney World, and I’m not alone in that, so I’m sure there will be many Guests there throughout the weekend. Also, no matter which theme park you choose, one full day is plenty of time to explore. Now I have a question for you. What is most important to you during your one day? Is it more important to get a lot done in terms of attractions, or do you just want to visit a specific theme park? I always say that if you have a dream theme park or attraction you must do, you should prioritize it, even if it's crowded. For example, from my research, I know that Magic Kingdom and EPCOT tend to be the most popular theme parks during the 4th of July weekend since they have the two most iconic fireworks displays. However, with Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, a solid game plan, flexibility, and prioritization, you can get a lot accomplished at either theme park. In fact, my family and I are currently planning to visit Magic Kingdom on the 4th and have already started discussing our non-negotiables for the day so we can prioritize getting those done and leave space for magical surprises along the way. If that doesn’t sound like the ideal day for you, then perhaps head towards Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. In my experience, they are not as popular as the Magic Kingdom, for example. But as I said, don’t pass up a theme park that you would love just because it might be more popular. There's no guarantee Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom won’t be just as popular.

I hope this was helpful, Emma. I know this seems like a big choice, but once you decide on a theme park, if you would like some assistance coming up with a game plan, please come back and see us. We are happy to help you plan the best day ever.

    Happy Planning,
