I have a one day trip on a stop over from helping a grandparent in Florida and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what park would be best for a new teenager that doesn't do well with any high impact rides.

Hiya, Trisha! Thank you so much for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel for advice on your next trip! Multi-generational trips are some of my favorites, because Walt Disney World Resort is truly a place where all ages can experience the magic!

If you and your new teen are seeking a Disney park with rides that have little impact, I would recommend the ever-classic Magic Kingdom for your day trip. Full of family friendly attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Small World, Jungle Cruise and Peter Pan’s flight, the park also boasts some VERY smooth thrill rides such as the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with it’s swiveling cars. I would avoid the “Mountains” which include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain, as they have a tendency to be a little bumpy or have large dips. Instead, enjoy my first string of recommended rides as well as Buzz Lightyear and the Festival of Fantasy Parade, which will wow you with daytime spectacle. This is the time I prefer to get a Plaza Ice Cream cone and enjoy the parade from the street corners on Main Street U.S.A.

If I can help you recommend other attractions or eateries within the park, please return to ask me another question. Have a magical day trip! ~ Lindsey P.
