One day trip to Magic Kingdom. How long does it usually take to hop from park to park and is is worth it for 1 day ?

    Hi Tim,

In all reality, you possibly could lose an hour in travel time when it is all said and done, especially allowing for the time to exit and enter the parks.

So is it really worth it?  If you see something you'd really like to visit in more than one park, you may leave feeling great about having a chance to see your list of "must-dos." Also, if you decide to visit another park that has shorter hours, having a second park to head over to may help you to make the most of the day.

I can share with you that I visited WDW for a weekend this last year and spent the entire weekend at only the Magic Kingdom; I didn't visit any of the other parks and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Another thought that may help you to decide if you'd like to park hop is that to add the park hopper option to a one day ticket, that is an additional $35 (as of 8/2011).  That isn't a huge investment, but it could be spent in different way.

I hope this helps you to weigh the pros/cons of visiting two parks in one day.  Please let me know if I can help again.
