We have one day to spend at Disney and will be visiting Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. We would like to utilize preferred parking however I’m afraid the Magic Kingdom preferred lot may be full in the afternoon. What do you think?! Thanks for the help!

Hi, Tyla, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let's help you make the most of your day at the Walt Disney World Resort!

From flying on a banshee at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park to exploring a world of fantasy at Magic Kingdom Park, it sounds like you're planning quite an adventure for your one magical Disney day. When it comes to managing your time, I think Preferred Parking will be a big help. You'll just pay the fee at your first Park, and it will be valid for the entire day at any other Parks you visit. And it's a huge timesaver, especially at Magic Kingdom Park, where you'll be just a short walk to the monorail and ferry service at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

I've used Preferred Parking a couple of times and never had a problem getting a spot in our second Park of the day. You can always ask the Cast Member at the parking plaza when you first arrive in the morning if they think Preferred Parking will be available throughout the day. I'm sure they'll be able to fill you in!

Tyla, I hope you have so much fun eating all the snacks, taking all the photos, and riding all the rides on your amazing Disney day! Please stop by and see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
