We only have one day to spend in Anaheim in Disney. Kids age from 16-5. Can we do both parks in one day and if not, which one park would best suit our family? We have been to Disneyworld if that helps any. Thank you.

Hello, Robert! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love when people who have been to the Walt Disney World Resort get to experience the Disneyland Resort for the first time. While there are some similarities, the parks are quite different and I adore all the nostalgia that Disneyland Park has to offer. After all, this is where Walt walked.

If you want to experience all that the Disneyland Resort has to offer in one day, purchase a park hopper ticket. Unlike the Walt Disney World Resort, the two parks and the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort are all within footsteps of each other, so hopping between parks is a breeze. You will want to start your day early and prioritize the attractions that you want to ride. Use the Disneyland app to look up attraction wait times and FASTPASS return times to help maximize your time.

If you only want to visit one park, then I recommend focusing your time on Disneyland Park. There are many attractions suitable for the whole family plus dazzling nighttime entertainment like the Main Street Electrical Parade.

While you definitely won't see everything, you can certainly get a nice taste of the Disneyland Resort in one day. Just be aware, it will probably make you hungry for more!

I hope you have a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
